My name is Bobby Fitzgerald I'm a designer and artist living in Ireland. The main focus of my practice is to explore new ways to engage with the great crises’ of our time in an emotive, tangible sense and at scale. I'm originally from London but spent my teenage years in Dublin. I attended the Irish Nation college of art and design for a year before starting in Goldsmiths design in South east London which I graduated from in 2015 with a B.A. in Design. My main motivations in life are to develop a regenerative and flourish life for me, my society and the planet at large. 🌍 💙

A few lines on me and the world

You could call me a designer, spoken word poet, narrator, painter, drawer, copywriter and consultant but what I am really am is a creative person passionately concerned about how it is we're going to respond to the great crises’ of our time.

My creativity thrives in a challenging situation and I love a big challenge. My personal goal is to use my creativity to tell engaging stories about our planet and this momentous inflection point we find ourselves in.

I am motivated to ask daunting questions, of myself and the world around me, and I have a voracious appetite for tackling the big problems.

During my career I've worked with the Green political party of Ireland, environmental activism groups, film productions, festival crews, installation artists, as an artist myself (painting and spoken word) and within the events industry. My experience has shown me there is a communicative bridge missing between the solutions to our problems and our ability to comprehend and access those solutions. My work is focused on bridging that gap. Developing a multi-modal story about the Earth from space through my personal. A long standing project inspired by a phenomenom known as the Overview Effect. My work aims to distill the essence of this Overview effect through the use of mythopoetic language and bring a more theatrical, regenerative perspective onto the crises’ we face.
